Primary responsibilities:
- Identifying new sales leads
- Pitching products and/or services
- Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
Identifying new sales leads
- Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
- Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
- Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives like driving offers and initiatives that make up the yearly calender
- Attending exhibitions and industry events
Pitching products and/or services
- Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales displays
- Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products
- Follow up by phone, email, and in person on quotes and proposals sent
- Keeping update the necessary documentation and MIS
- Provide the necessary support in meeting sales targets
- Present status of the week during weekly reviews
- Providing the necessary support to the Business Development Head
Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
- Ensure the customer requirements are promptly attended to and delivered.
- Going beyond the call of duty to ensure customer delight.
